Welcome

Baphomet_IIWelcome to Deamonication!

I have been using the word deamonication for a long while….as it defines most of my beliefs, characterizes the music I listen to daily and helps explain who I am as a being.  I recently decided to use the “name” for my personal website, my own domain on the World Wild Web.  My aim is not to terrorize or shock anyone, even if I probably will, but to express myself in my own way and to nourish my love of computers, electrons and other 21st century passions. Deamonication.com was therefore born, out of boredom, fascination and excitement.

While I am not totally unfamiliar with website design, it has been almost 10+ years since I was an official webmaster (at the time of posting).  At the time, I swore by then Macromedia’s Dreamweaver (V2.3 if I recall), now owned by Adobe. As the web and technology and (dumbness of) people evolved, other WYSIWYG software was developed, making it easier to publish any kind of website.  I started noticing the appearance and proliferation of WordPress and others, and sat there amazed at the power they offered.

There are a number of ways I can take with this website:

  • A personal website: It already is….so consider this one explored!
  • A blog: Unlikely, since I am not the blog type, but one can hope that things can change
  • An Online Repository of my favorite things: It sort of is already…done!
  • A mix of all of the above:  That’s what it’s going to be, I think…

While I do not plan to do this to entertain the masses, I am aware that it just might. I am also aware that it is not possible to please everyone on this planet. This is far from my aim. In fact, there is only one person that needs to be pleased and that would be me. Do not be alarmed if you find things here that seem odd, or if you googled certain words and happen to land on my site and it is not what you are looking for (sorry). After all, it is my creation to use as I see fit. Each and every page of this website is a reflection of my personality, a self-expression.

I hope you enjoy Deamonication.com as much as I do and that you take pleasure in what is made available here.  Keep in mind this is partially an experiment and that you may encounter some “out-of-place” pages, posts and things…expect the unexpected and you shall be handsomely rewarded!

Stéphane

P.S.  Ne soyez pas surpris si, quelques fois, j’écris en français…c’est ma langue maternelle après tout. Je sais que le traducteur de Google n’aime pas qu’il y ait 2 langues sur la même page.ch

P.S. #2  Oh…Blogs are on the “blogs” page…
